![]() Last time Taylor released original music, she gave us a pair of surprisingly melancholy records best enjoyed while quietly sobbing - a perfect reading of the room in 2020. It seems Taylor generously took a break from rerecording her back catalogue to make us an entirely new album, which comes out October 21 along with a brand-new music video. #I tried keeping this review spoiler-free bc honestly I don't wanna ruin the show.Since August (the month, not the song), Taylor Swift has been teasing us with snippets of information about Midnights, her highly anticipated tenth studio album.Every single episode was absolutely incredible and this show will definitely leave the biggest impact on me. I legit could not recommend it more & I’m really mad it’s not bigger bc it’s truly one of the best things I’ve ever watched. I would love to rewatching knowing the truth from the start, it’d be super interesting Would I rewatch it: usually when you know all the plot twists of a story it kinda loses it rewatchability factor, but not this time. I personally thought they handled the topics well but if it could trigger you don’t put yourself through it) (- it could be a con for people so I wanna include it: this show contains VERY fucked up topics that you can imagine when I write that, so if it’s not your cup of tea I wouldn’t recommend this show. the conclusion was maybe not the moooost satisfying it could’ve been, but frankly I still liked it a lot there were some few inconsistencies, for example how tippy could call iya when she changed sim cards, but frankly seeing how incredibly complex the story is I personally didn’t pay too much attention to them even though you wanna know more it simply shows the circle repeating itself & I find it quite poetic in a way while I would really appreciate a season 2 in this case, I also felt like that ending was enough. ![]() usually when an ending is open-ended, you absolutely want a season 2 to continue the story or else you’ll be frustrated forever. #Sleepless society insomnia seriesthis might be the first series I watch with no love story lmao, & I loved it! and here it truly didn’t need it bc there was already SO much going on that a love story would’ve taken away from it. and while I’m a sucker for romance, like iya said not every story needs a love story. this decision was clearly a choice since the screenwriters make the characters talk about it at the very end of the show. I loved that there were no love story in the show. we stan a seemingly ‘light’ show (it’s definitely not) that actually can speak up & denounce actual things going on in its country I won’t say more bc I don’t wanna spoil anything in the show (which is very hard bc damn there’s so much going on in it lmao) but it’s really great to see a thai show say quite a lot politically in a country where politics are all over the place. honestly this show, while being entertaining & all, is actually really great social commentary. if you liked the feeling of suspense in the gifted, this show is for you my dude! like I could not take my eyes off the screen & I had to keep watching bc every single minute is packed with action & information. the entertainment value of this show is through the fucking roof. (I also liked the character of seua, but that bc I’m becoming really partial to his actor lol. I loved their characters, especially iya, faye & mo. #Sleepless society insomnia how toI loved how the female characters were the center of the stories but also not always the “victim.” the women of this show are strong, broken & beautiful but goddamn they know how to stand up for themselves. I could feel every emotion or lack thereof, it was perfect every actor was top-notch, there was not one bad performance. sure the character development is not the main focus of the story, but you come to know every character very well & I felt like they were still developed in a wonderful way but here I found that it was not the case at all. one of the reason I almost dropped this show at ep 1 (thank god I didn’t) was bc usually when stories are that incredible, the character development suffers. the story is one of a kind & I loved it so much it’s not often that I’m truly impressed with screenwriters but here I really am. I legit still cannot believe the writers came up with that… it’s so complex & deals with SO much, every little detail fits in with the others… like that shit is truly insane. ![]() These dreams cause insomnia, eventually leading up to chronic insomnia to the point that she is confused and begins to separate reality and dreams. Summary: Iya is a young model that has always had a recurring dream: She always dreams of seeing her mother kill someone in a house, which is located on the island she used to live in when she was a child.
